Latinas in Power is ecstatic to partner with Aristocrat Gaming and Inspirando Latinas - an employee group within Aristocrat. We invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 for “Latinas Who Lead at Aristocrat.” A daring conversation about leadership, innovation and getting outside of your comfort zone. Hear directly from two Latina leaders Xiomara and Lucy who are at the helm of their departments (technology and finance) and play an integral role within the organization. Learn about their personal and professional backgrounds including what attracted them to their fields, moving up the corporate ladder and what it's like working in the STEM and finance fields, where data shows that Latinas are underrepresented. Of course there will also be a little bit of time to talk about how they practice self care.
After the panel conversation, we will take a brief walk over to the Aristocrat Showroom where you will have an opportunity to see first hand what Aristocrat brings to the table across the world. Whether you:

Opening Remarks:
Hector Fernandez President, Aristocrat 
About Hector Hector Fernandez is Aristocrat’s President of Europe and the Americas, overseeing the company’s multiple teams in North and South America. Most recently, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Aristocrat. His fluency in English and Spanish serves him well as he leads Aristocrat from the top of Canada to the tip of Chile. A certified public accountant, he holds an MBA in Finance & Accounting from USC and a BA in Economics/Accounting and Government at Claremont McKenna College. Hector was born in Guatemala. He and his wife Lesley have 2 children, Sofia and Mateo. He loves to travel and has been to 5 of 7 continents. |

About Xiomara I am originally from Guayaquil-Ecuador, South America. I moved to the United States in 1998 with many dreams and goals in mind. I started my family here in US. I’ve been married for 21 years and have a lovely teenage son. I studied Computer Science in Ecuador and came to US with couple of years of working experience. I’ve always been a strong believer to pursue what you have a passion for; as any challenges will be looked as opportunities for growth. I have played many roles in my career starting as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Project Manager, Director & Sr. Director of Global teams into what my role is today as the VP of delivering solutions for the CXS Core business. My main career has been with Aristocrat and I’m very blessed for that. Extremely proud to represent Latin women!! |

About Lucy Lucy is responsible for Tulsa and Las Vegas Integration Centers’ purchasing and has over 22 years supply chain experience; 15 years have been in the Gaming Industry where she has cultivated a vast network of suppliers and colleagues. She is well rounded in all areas of procurement and has held roles as buyer, planner, master-scheduler, S&OP, category manager, sourcing and new product introduction. Lucy is a Southern California native. She grew up in Los Angeles with her five siblings. Her parents immigrated from Colima, Mexico. Lucy is the first in her family to be born in the USA, and first to graduate college. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She is married to Michael Van Sickle and has two daughters, Kaylee and Natalee, as well as 4 dogs, Peanut, Chip, Maax and Toby. |
